Peptides Are Coming Back

The peptide compounding landscape is shifting. Following the FDA's 2023 decision to restrict widely used peptides under the Category 2 bulk drug substances classification, a formal review is now officially underway. The Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC) is scheduled to meet July 23-24, 2026 to evaluate seven compounds, including BPC-157 and TB-500, for potential reclassification.
